Season outlook: Monmouth lost some really solid talent in the offseason, both to graduation and to injury, but the Mustangs depth — some of the best depth in all of Class C — will show this season. Led by all-conference player Haley Fletcher, the Mustangs will again be one of the top teams to watch in the MVC, and should again contend for a deep playoff run. They won’t sneak up on anyone, though, so they’ll have to be prepared to play every day as they chase consensus favorite Madison for the league title and beyond. The young group of freshmen and sophomores has some skill, as well, adding even more depth to the roster.
