Season outlook: Nothing like starting the season with a giant target on your back, but that’s exactly what Lewiston has. The Blue Devils are the defending, unbeaten state champions in Class A, and every game will be a battle. Losing vast talent, partiularly Shariff and Maslah Hassan, will hurt, but the team’s player pipeline is chock full of players who have been champing at the bit to get into a varsity game. The younger players on the squad are solid, as well, and Lewiston is aiming for at least a Northern A repeat. They know Hampden, Bangor and Camden Hills will be tough to beat again.
