RANGELEY — A Rangeley Plantation woman is accused of driving drunk when she fell off her motorcycle June 10 and hit her head on the pavement in the vicinity of Mingo Loop Road. A passer-by found her in the road, according to Police Chief Russell French.

Police on Monday charged Lauren Singer, 19, by summons on misdemeanor counts of operating under the influence, possession of a fictitious license and operating without a license, French said Wednesday. She was also issued a summons on a civil violation of possession of alcohol by a minor.

Singer lost control of her motorcycle and was flown to a Lewiston hospital for treatment of injuries. A helmet was found nearby but police were not sure if she was wearing it or it was attached to her bike when the accident occurred.
