BELFAST (AP) — A Maine teenager charged with fatally stabbing his father is due in court for a plea hearing.

The boy was 16 years old when he was charged in the fatal stabbing of 49-year-old Steven Hodgdon of Troy in their home in March 2015.

The hearing is scheduled for Friday. The boy’s attorney, John Martin, said details of a plea bargain will be revealed in court.

The Associated Press generally does not identify juveniles charged with crimes.

The investigation began after Hodgdon was found unresponsive in his home March 8. The state medical examiner’s office says he died from a stab wound to the chest.
