JAY — A woman from Strong received minor injuries when her vehicle went into a ditch off Route 133 about 4:28 a.m. Thursday near Sunset Avenue, police said.

Veronica J. Button, 22, told officer Stephanie Guillemette that she must have fallen asleep on her way home from work, said Detective Michael Mejia, reading from Guillemette’s report.

Button was evaluated by NorthStar EMS personnel but not taken to a hospital, he said.

Guillemette estimated damage to Button’s vehicle at well over $1,000, Mejia said.

She issued a summons on a charge of failure to maintain control of a vehicle, Mejia said.
