BETHEL — Caleb Clarke had a big game at the plate and the mound for Locke Mills, belting a pair of hits to lead Locke Mills past Bessey Motors 10-4 in American Legion baseball action Tuesday.

On the mound, Clarke struck out seven. Tanner Wheeler had a triple and a double while Josh Eliot and Chase Harkins each had a double in the victory.

Locke Mills (2-1) jumped out to a 6-1 lead after three innings with four runs in the second and two more in the third. After Bessey Motors cut the deficit to 6-3 in the top of the fourth, Locke Mills tacked on three more in the bottom half of the inning. They added one more in the sixth inning.

Emery Chickering had a triple for Bessey Mostors (0-4). Matt Smith, Bailey West and Troy Johnson each had two singles in the losing effort.
