LEWISTON — Lewiston Public Library will offer teens the chance to win prizes by reading three or more hours per week from June 20 to Aug. 13 as part of its Teen Summer Reading program.
Those in grades seven through 12 can read any type of material and any genre they want. If they meet this weekly reading goal, they will be given a raffle ticket to enter the prize drawing of their choice. Drawings will be held in August.
Prizes include a longboard, roller skates or inline skates, backpacks full of school supplies, sports equipment and a smart fitness watch.
Every teen that completes all seven weeks of the program will be entered to win a smart watch.
Activities include Zumba by Girl Power Fitness, Yoga by Chill Yoga, a step challenge, a smoothie challenge and a teen book club. Teens may sign up at the library as early as June 17.
