LIVERMORE — Town Clerk Renda Guild and Treasurer Amy Byron are seeking re-election during balloting Tuesday, June 14.

There is no one running for Regional School Unit 73 director, Guild said, so a write-in may accept the position. If no one does so, selectpersons will appoint someone, she said.

Guild was deputy town clerk for two years and has been town clerk for 16.

“I bring a lot to the position,” she said.

She is an agent for the Department of Motor Vehicles and Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, deputy tax collector and deputy registrar of voters, and a member of The Maine Town and City Clerks’ Association for the past 16 years.

“We have incorporated many new programs since I have been in office, and plan to continue to add them as they become available,” Guild said.  

“We have made it our mission to stay cross-trained in all areas in the office,” Guild said. 

More online services are available and office hours were changed for the convenience of the public, she said.

Guild has been a resident of Livermore for the past 49 years. She is married and raised her children here. 

“I attended school here, and have been a part of this town for many years,” she said. “There is a lot to be said about a small town. Livermore is a beautiful community with much support.”

Byron is seeking her second full term as treasurer. She was appointed interim treasurer in April 2014 when Kurt Schaub resigned. She said she sought the office in 2014 to give back to the community.
