There is an election on June 14 when residents of Oxford will be electing two selectmen. I think that it would be to our advantage to have the candidates meet with concerned citizens, to tell us a little about themselves and then be open to questions from the audience regarding the town. I am not sure just how to accomplish that but I feel it is important that voters know the candidates and their views on the town.
If anyone has ideas on this suggestion, let’s get going on it. There is only a short time to accomplish such a meeting. If there isn’t time this year, perhaps the town can plan ahead for next year.
