UPDATED 2:15 p.m.: Ellsworth Police say they have found the missing teen. She is safe.
Police say 13-year-old Khaitlynn Prosser was located at the hospital and is being evaluated.
Police are still searching for the Hyundai Sonata Prosser was seen getting into on Water Street.
Police now say they have surveillance video showing Prosser getting into a car at a store not far from the Ellsworth Library, where she was last seen around 7 p.m.
Police say it appears she got into the car willingly. Prosser is 5’6″, 115 pounds with brown eyes and shoulder length brown hair. She was wearing a T-shirt, jeans and pink sneakers. She may also have been wearing the white hat seen in the photo provided by the Ellsworth Police Department.
Police say they found the teen’s sweatshirt near the Union River, and initially were concerned she was in the water, but now say that is not the case.
Police have released several photos of the vehicle. Please see pictures shown in gallery. Police are confident that the vehicle involved is a Hyundai Sonata.
Ellsworth Police say Khaitlynn got into the car on Water Street. The car turned and went towards Trenton on the Bayside Road.
Anyone with information on the girl’s whereabouts is asked to contact Ellsworth police at 667-2133.
