There were more incorrect answers than correct ones for last week’s mystery photo, with the most frequent wrong guess being Wallingford’s Fruit House in Auburn. The correct answer is Benoit’s Bakery and Wine Cellar on Lisbon Road in Lisbon. According to owner Nick Benoit, when they opened their strawberry shortcake stand before expanding to their present location in the building just behind the stand, they wanted to paint something to attract attention. They searched the Internet for ideas, looking for a farm scene with a farmer wearing overalls, like their family patriarch, Paul Benoit. In a random drawing of the winning entrants, Pauline Perham of Lewiston was chosen. “I patronize the business quite often and hate to admit it, but I really like their doughnuts,” she said, when notified of her winning. Perham is the winner of a $20 Hannaford Supermarkets gift card.
