COLUMBIA, S.C. — Louis E. Bilodeau, 63, of Blythewood, S.C., died Sunday, May 29, at Palmetto-Richland Hospital, Columbia, S.C., with his family by his side.
Born in Lewiston, Oct. 11, 1952, a son of Lucien and Madeleine Carpentier Bilodeau, he graduated from Edward Little High School and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bentley College.
Louis was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church and was plant manager at Akzo-Nobel/Coveright Surfaces/Arclin.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, being a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and loved spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his generosity, kind heart, willingness to help others and the love for his family.
He is survived by his mother, Madeleine Bilodeau; his wife, the former Charlene Suzanne Dube; his sons, Shawn Scott Bilodeau and wife, Michelle Bilodeau, and grandchildren, Cameron and Nolan Bilodeau; and Kevin John Bilodeau and Brooke Pinkham and grandchildren, Jordynn, Landon and Avery Bilodeau; his daughter, Kelley Lynn Silver and husband, Justin Silver, grandchildren, Kayla and Matthew Silver; his brother, Paul Bilodeau; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Elaine Dube; aunts and uncles; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Lucien Bilodeau; paternal grandparents, Alphonse and Florida Compagnon Bilodeau; maternal grandparents, Eugene Sr. and Emiliene Carpentier; his mother and father-in-law, Charles and Rita Dube; and sister-in-law, Lorraine Moore.
