LEWISTON — Geiger Elementary School was cleared by police after a bomb threat was called into the school Wednesday morning, Superintendent Bill Webster said.

The bomb threat came in around 9:20 a.m. All students were evacuated to the Assembly of God Church on the Hogan Road.

Police searched the building and deemed it safe  shortly before 11:30 a.m. Students returned to school.

During the nearly two hours students were at the church they were fed, were entertained and played some games, Webster said. “All students are safe.”

During bomb threats parents are allowed to pick up their students. There was some traffic congestion on the Hogan Road from parents getting their students.
