1935 – 2016
LEWISTON — Lorraine Marie Gondeck died peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, April 11.
She was born May 25, 1935, to Anna (Meagher) and William Wright and lived in Turner. At the age of 13 years old, she met the love of her life and on May 26, 1956, she married Albert Gondeck Jr. They lived in Staten Island, N.Y., and Somerville, N.J., until 1969, when the family moved to Turner.
Lorraine was secretary to the superintendent of School Administrative District 52 until her retirement in 1995. Together, she, Al, and their five children and their families created the North Parish Tree Farm in 1982. The farm was sold in 2004, and then they built and moved into their retirement home, where they treasured many special family gatherings.
Lorraine is survived by her beloved husband, Albert; children, Jeffrey (Linda Mailhot) Gondeck, Maryann (John) Leonard, Kathleen (Robert) Langelier, Nancy (John) Russell, and Kristine (Rodney)
Powell; nine grandchilden, Brock and Kyle Russell, Jennifer (fiance, Dan Phelan), and Kimberly Gondeck, Brandon and Matthew Powell, Thomas and Timothy Langelier, and Colin (Anne) Leonard; great-grandchildren: Jack and Autumn Leonard; two sisters, Ann Wright and Loretta Burkley; brother-in-law, Gordon Gondeck; one niece; six nephews; and Baby Duke.
Lorraine was predeceased by brother, William Wright Jr.; her parents and in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gondeck Sr.
