Sgt. Harry Moore said Friday that Joseph Lamothe, 34, who was riding the bicycle, and Henry Raymond Jr., 52, who was driving the truck, were both eastbound in the area of 173 Lisbon Road when the collision occurred. Both men are from Lisbon.

No charges have been filed, Moore said.

Witnesses to the incident are being asked to contact the Lisbon Police Department.

Maine State Police are reconstructing the accident. Because it involved a death, the driver’s blood was tested for the presence of alcohol, as required by state law.

Lamothe was pronounced dead at the scene. Raymond was taken to a Lewiston hospital with a minor injury, according to police.

The incident happened near the intersection at Moody Road just after 5 p.m. Police shut down one lane along Route 196 as emergency crews responded and an investigation began.

Moore said the investigation was ongoing.
