PARIS — After allegedly bouncing off a guardrail and driving erratically on Brett Hill Road in Paris, according to what witnesses told Oxford County dispatchers, Marjorie Risica of Paris was charged with operating under the influence.

According to Paris police, Risica of 65 Oxford St. — who was elected to the Paris Utility District board of trustees in June 2015 — was found still sitting in her car in her driveway a little after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 29. Police took her to the Oxford Police Department for a breath test. Her breath alcohol content measured 0.26 – three times the legal limit, police said, and she was issued a summons charging her with OUI.

Police also confirmed dispatch radio traffic noting a witness saw her sitting by the side of the road after a near miss with a rock. The witness went up to the car and saw two dogs and alcohol in Risica’s lap, police confirmed.

Another witness, according to dispatch traffic and later confirmed by police, saw the vehicle bounce off a guardrail before turning onto Oxford Street and pulling into a driveway at what turned out to be her home.

The vehicle is registered to Selectman Mike Risica.
