BETHEL — Members of the West Parish Congregational Church will hold their annual Smile Fund yard sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9.

Bryant Pond resident Jane Chandler said the fund was established in 2003 by the church to help people without health insurance or dental coverage receive restorative dental work.

The Smile Fund serves residents in Bethel, Andover, Gilead, Greenwood, Newry and Woodstock. It has helped 66 people since it began 13 years ago, Chandler said.

Dentures come from Smile Again Dentures in Lewiston and are completely paid for by fundraising.

“Donations for the yard sale can be brought to the basement of the West Parish Congregational Church on Park Street,” Chandler said. They should be brought in the afternoon to not interfere with the Montessori program in the morning.

“The Smile Fund yard sale is looking for toys, tools, jewelry, books, knickknacks, housewares, electronics, gardening supplies and plants,” Chandler said.

Applications for the Smile Fund can be obtained by calling the West Parish Congregational Church at 207-824-2689.
