AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer a workshop titled Annuities — The Personal Pension Plan. It will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 6.

It’s offered by the Maine Money Academy, a monthly financial series at Central Maine Community College. The two-hour workshop focuses on helping attendees navigate the different types of annuities. Annuities can provide lifelong income similar to Social Security and pensions.

The workshop will cover basic strategies on how to determine the right type of annuity; develop a real-life financial illustration; and generate an income report based on an assumed rate of return and future income needs.
