AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services department at Central Maine Community College will offer CompTIA Network+ from 5 to 8 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, March 28 through May 26.
The course is designed to prepare participants for the current CompTIA Security+ exam (SY0-401), a certification desired by knowledgeable professionals in the field of security. CompTIA Security+ is an international, vendor-neutral certification that demonstrates competency in network security, compliance, operational security, threats and vulnerabilities, application, data and host security, access control, identity management, and cryptography. CompTIA Security+ also covers how to anticipate security risks and to guard against them. This certification can also be applied toward college credit.
The cost for this certification prep course is $699 and includes 48 hours of expert guided instruction, all course materials, six-month access to a practice exam valued at $80 and an exam voucher valued at $300. The exam must be scheduled and attempted at CMCC no later than June 24, 2016.
