LEWISTON — The Young Professionals of the Lewiston Auburn Area announces the next meeting in its Personal and Professional Development Series, “Persuasive Storytelling,” to be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, in Conference Room H at Central Maine Medical Center, 12 High St.
The presenter will be David Lee, founder of HumanNature@Work and StoriesThatChange.com.
Subject matter will include telling better stories, becoming a more persuasive speaker that will help grow career.
In this interactive presentation, attendees will learn a few of the most important story genres to know how to tell in business, including when networking. They will learn that being a good storyteller isn’t about being a dramatic raconteur or an over-the-top motivational speaker.
Lee has been using and teaching storytelling as a communication tool for more than 25 years and is the author of “Powerful Storytelling Techniques,” published by ATD Press.
