1921 – 2016

AUBURN — Antoinette C. Ouellette, 94, a resident of Montello Heights, Lewiston, formerly a longtime resident of Jay, passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, Feb. 14, at Hospice House of Androscoggin, in Auburn. She stated to her family that she was going to go meet her beloved husband, Theodore, for Valentine’s Day.

She was born July 30, 1921, in Chisholm, the daughter of Charles F. Castonguay and Angele (Litalien) Castonguay.

Antoinette graduated from St. Rose of Lima School and Jay High School.

She had worked as a secretary for John Tardif Dairy, and also at the Priscilla Rug Co. in Turner. She later worked as a paper tester for International Paper Co., at the Otis Mill in Chisholm.

She married Theodore Ouellette on June 28, 1947, at St. Rose of Lima Church. He died June 26, 2002.

They enjoyed traveling. Antoinette also liked to play cards and scrabble.

She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Parish.

She is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was especially close to her cousin who was like a daughter, Louise Castonguay and her husband, Lionel, and their family of Livermore.

Antoinette was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Theodore Ouellette; five brothers, Louis, Roland, Rodolph, Armand and Bertrand Castonguay; and infant sister, Doris Castonguay.
