PARIS — School Administrative District 17 Superintendent Rick Colpitts said he will meet with department heads and administrators after next week to go over 2016-17 budget requests line by line.
“Around the first week in March I should have first blush of whether we’re up or down,” he said.
The Budget Committee meeting schedule is:
• Wednesday, March 2 — Develop a schedule, set priorities, review the process and elect a chairman.
• Wednesday, March 9 — Review requests for athletics, music, art, library, elementary schools and adult education.
• Wednesday, March 16 — Review requests for facilities, technology, transportation, health services, special education, the high school and central office.
• Wednesday, March 23 — Review staffing and finalize the preliminary budget.
• Monday, April 4 — Colpitts will present the budget to the school board.
The administration hopes to meet with constituents and officials in each of the eight towns at selectmen meetings.
