RUMFORD — Unorganized Hancock will play as the live music portion of 49 Franklin’s “Love, Laugh, Live Music” Valentine’s Dinner special event on Feb. 14.
The evening opens at 5 p.m. with a social featuring the two musicians and moves into a complimentary option of having patrons’ wedding vows renewed by local officiate Scot Grassette, who will perform a group wedding vow renewal. Those who do not participate can enjoy being there for those who do.
Miles and Garrett Sullivan have been playing music as Unorganized Hancock for four years. That may not seem like such an accomplishment in the world of experienced musicians except that they were ages 8 and 15 when they started. They have honed some of the greatest classic rock ‘n roll songs from artists such as Beatles and Buddy Holly and made them their own. Garrett keeps the beat as drummer while Miles is quite talented on several instruments but excels on guitar. The name of the duo comes from the unorganized territories of Hancock county. They saw it on a map and though it sounded interesting as a band name.
There will be a served meal and a cash bar. During the meal, projected video clips of past “Friday Night Live” sketches featuring love, romance and dating will be shown.
The evening will be capped by another set by Unorganized Hancock featuring their most requested dance songs.
Reservations are accepted until Friday, Feb. 12, by calling Cindy at 207-369-0129 or pay in advance at www.49franklin.com. Cost for the evening is $49 per couple and includes tax and gratuity.
