LEWISTON — Tim Humphrey is a celebrity.

The young man from Brunswick High School probably didn’t wake up thinking that way last Friday, but if this video gains any traction online — and it should — Humphrey will be among the most talked about high school basketball players around.

Humphrey plays for Brunswick’s Unified basketball team. Unified Basketball partners students with developmental disabilities with students without developmental disabilities to train, compete, and represent their schools.

The shot alone is amazing, but the celebration and the sheer joy of the moment reminds us all of what sports are all about.
