As part of the Affordable Care Act, nonprofit hospitals across the state have the responsibility of gathering and sharing important health information with the communities they serve. This is done with something called the Community Health Needs Assessment. 

Stephens Memorial Hospital is partnering with Rumford Hospital to bring the results of the 2015 CHNA to communities around Oxford County. It is important for citizens to be aware of the progress in some areas and the challenges still present so everyone can have a voice in developing ways to achieve better health and wellness.

The Oxford County Wellness Collaborative’s Community Engagement workgroup is coordinating a series of presentations/discussions in three areas around the county.

The first session is from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at Telstar High School in Bethel. The snow date is Saturday, Jan. 30.

The second session is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in Paris. The snow date is Monday, Feb. 1.

The third session is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Mountain Valley High School in Rumford. The snow date is Tuesday, Feb. 9.
