RUMFORD — The Stephens High School Class of 1954 will meet for a class luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at the River Valley Grill in Rumford Center.

All class members and guests are welcome.

MEXICO — Stephens High School Class of 1958 will hold its monthly luncheon at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 20, at the Covered Wagon Restaurant.

Scott opens Into the Woods Speaker Series

BETHEL — The Mahoosuc Land Trust’s first presentation for its 2016 Into the Woods Speaker Series will kick off with Ryder Scott, director of 4-H Learning Camps, and Gabe Perkins, executive director of Mahoosuc Pathways.

They will share the process of creating and maintaining safe and beautiful trails, lifting up the work of the Oxford County Conservation Corps, a program that engages high school students in the area in leadership and trail stewardship skills.

The presentation will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at McLaughlin Auditorium on the Gould Academy campus. The event is free and open to the public.

In-Person FAFSA Help at Region 9

MEXICO — The 2016-17 Free Application for Federal Student Aid is now available. Region 9 will host a Free In-Person FAFSA Help Event at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, staffed by FAME and other financial professionals who can assist students.

Region 9 is located at 377 River Road.

Students and families can register for the FAFSA lab by clicking on the In-Person FAFSA Help page on FAMEMaine.com. Select the Region 9 event and fill out the registration form. Registering for the event is not required but is recommended.

After registering, participants will receive an email confirming their registration and providing information about what to bring and how to go about obtaining an FSA ID ahead of time.
