NEWRY — Sunday River Resort has hired Heath Weatherbee as its new director of group service within its conference and wedding department.

Weatherbee has more than a decade of experience in the hospitality industry that will benefit the resort’s growing conference business. His role at Sunday River includes managing the group service team and acting as liaison for meeting planners and on-site conference guests to ensure a positive experience for all.

A Maine native, Weatherbee has held management positions with renowned Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Jackson Hole, Wyo., Atlanta and Hawaii. Prior to joining Sunday River, he spent six months backpacking across Asia.
