BRUNSWICK — The Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse boys’ hockey team came out fast with four goals in the first five minutes against the Poland/Gray-NG/Oak Hill 26ers and went on to earn a 5-2 victory Monday night at Sid Watson Arena.

Defenseman Cam Grant led the Eagles with two goals, and fellowdefenseman Ryley Austin had a goal and an assist. Tyler Halls and Sam Alexander also scored for the hosts.

Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse (3-2) goalie Parker Lacey made 13 saves to snag the win.

Derek Belanger paced the 26ers (0-8) with a goal and an assist. Brandon Michaud also scored, while Conor and Bailey Drouin each had an assist. 26ers netminder Kenny Humphrey was superb in goal despite the loss, making 33 saves.

Both teams were 1-for-4 on the man advantage.

Boothbay 53, Oak Hill 28

BOOTHBAY HARBOR — Paige Brown, Hannah Morley and Faith Blethen combined for 46 points in the Boothbay Seahawks’ 53-28 victory over the Oak Hill Raiders in an MVC girls’ basketball game Monday.

Brown, a sophomore, paced Boothbay with 23 points on nine buckets and four free throws. Morley and Blethen each had 12 points.

Blethen kocked down three 3-pointers while Brown knocked down a pair.

The Seahawks (10-0) jumped out to a 16-8 lead after one quarter and took a 31-13 lead into halftime.

Oak Hill (5-5) was paced by Grace Sabine, who had 10 points, while Sara Noel added eight.

Dirigo 63, Wiscasset 30

DIXFIELD — The Dirigo Cougars pulled away in the third quarter, scoring 29 points en route to a 63-30 victory over the Wiscasset Wolverines in girls’ basketball action Monday.

Dirigo (6-3) held a 14-11 lead at halftime before a second half offensive outburst which saw them also score 20 points in the fourth.

Sabrina Daoud led all scorers with 28 points while notching seven rebounds and six steals in the victory. Lauren Henderson finished the game with 14 points for Dirigo, while Emma Lueders had four points, 11 assists and seven rebounds.

Hayley Craig led the Wolverines (3-7) with 10 points.
