Blessed with fresh snow during school break, and thanks in part to yeoman’s work from several volunteers, Telstar Regional High School hosted the Telstar Relays on Saturday at the high school in Bethel. Mixed-gender teams of four battled for the team crown following a wave start.

The Maine Coast Waldorf School won the team event. The team of Fiona Ahearne, Olivia Skillings, Tucker Pierce and Eli Gundersen finished the course in 34:01, edging the team from Gould Academy of Bethel by 15.7 seconds.

Mt. Blue of Farmington was third in 36:26.8. The Cougars also placed two more teams in the top 10, in seventh and eighth position. Gould also had a second top-10 team, in sixth.

Host Telstar finished ninth, and the Maine Coast Waldorf School’s second team rounded out the top 10.
