Mystery Photo for December 20, 2015

Last week’s mystery photo is of a Viking figure etched into stone at the main entrance to the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. The Viking is the school’s mascot. The large plaque, a gift from the Class of 1998 — the first graduating class of the school — also has the motto inscribed in Latin, “Aude suscipere ausum” (Dare to accept the challenge). In a random drawing, Dan Trouant of Norway was chosen as the winner of a $10 Subway gift card.
