BETHEL — The Bethel Inn will host the second annual Vintage Ski Fashion Show from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, to raise money for the Ski Museum of Maine.

Leigh Breidenbach said she and other organizers are most interested in styles from the 1940s to the 1970s, with a focus on “snowflake sweaters, melton wool jackets, gentsy trousers and waffle stompers.”

The show will take place in the main dining room of the Bethel Inn. The admission fee is $25, with all money going toward funding the Ski Museum of Maine’s attempts to establish an exhibit in Bethel that would showcase the history of Alpine and Nordic skiing in Oxford County.

Wende Gray, president of the Ski Museum of Maine, said the admission fee includes hors d’oeuvres. Door prizes will be awarded.

People who would like to have their retro ski outfits featured in the show can call Cindy Hiebert at 446-3771, or Cheri Thurston at 344-7758.

According to its website, the Ski Museum of Maine was founded in 1995 and is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization celebrating and preserving the history and heritage of Maine skiing.
