1934 – 2015
AUBURN — Constance J. Sands Mazzone, 81, of Lewiston, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by family on Thursday, Dec. 17, at Clover Manor Health Care Facility in Auburn after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

After high school, she worked in a variety of local business offices including Lewiston Welding, Central Maine Power, Continental and Bates mills as well as businesses in New York, New Jersey and Virginia. She retired from the Maine Department of Labor. She was a sweet, generous, intelligent, funny, reasonable person who enjoyed time with family, church, reading, music, walking, travel, playing Scrabble, movies, completing crossword puzzles, playing Jeopardy and keeping up on current affairs. She was a member of the Court Street Baptist Church in Auburn and the Mayflower Society of Maine.
She is survived by the following nieces and nephews, Patricia and Thomas Coulombe of Minot, George and Cynthia Wardwell of Poland, James and Laura Wardwell of Auburn, Dorothy Wardwell of Portland and Catherine Delaney of Ontario, Canada; 14 grandnieces and grandnephews; and 11 great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
