LEWISTON — Funeral services honoring the life of Georgette N. Cain were held Tuesday, Dec. 15, at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home, with Monsignor Marc Caron presiding from the Prince of Peace Parish.
During the service, Georgette’s grandson, Jonathan Cain, shared words of remembrance written by his father, Kevin Cain, about his mother, Georgette. Then Sherri Therriault also recited words of remembrance about Georgette written by her aunt, Peggy.
Following a funeral procession to Mount Hope Cemetery, Monsignor Caron recited committal prayers. Following committal prayers, the U.S. Marine Corps Honor Detail played taps then folded and presented our country’s flag to Georgette’s son, Kevin, in recognition and appreciation of his mother’s military service to her country during the Cold War.
At the conclusion of services, Georgette’s grandson, Jonathan Cain, thanked all in attendance for supporting his family during this difficult time after the passing of his grandmother, then invited all in attendance to join his family for a reception of fellowship at the VFW Post Hall in Auburn.
