Many entries incorrectly identified the Foss Mansion in Auburn. The correct answer is the Kora Temple in Lewiston. The winner, chosen in a random drawing, is Carol Richardson from Minot. She has been to the FEZtival of Trees many times and her fiance is a past potentate, so it was easy for her to identify the portrait of George Washington, hanging in the staircase leading to the second floor. According to a 1994 article in the Sun Journal (Looking Back, 50 years ago), it was acquired from “Boston’s famed Parker House.” Richardson is the winner of a $10 Subway gift card.
