1994 – 2015
WATERFORD — Daniel A. Peterson, 21, of Waterford passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born in Portland on Aug. 27, 1994, the son of Dennis and Elaina Hersom Peterson. He graduated from Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and had been employed by Q-Team Tree Service.
Daniel loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his nephew. He was a licensed arborist and wanted to own his own tree service someday. He was working toward getting his Class B license and he was a hard worker. He always told his father that he was “The Professional.”
There are not enough words to describe his big smile and laugh — he had a kind, loving heart, and everyone who knew him loved him. Daniel loved spending time with his girlfriend, Whitney, and her family. He would do anything for anybody — he loved life.
He is survived by his parents; sisters, Samantha Eichel and her husband, Josh, who was a wonderful big sister, Sarah Rulman, Jessica Peterson, Heather Peterson, and Kelly Peterson; his grandparents, Carol Wernig, Bruce Peterson and Georgina Hersom; aunts and uncles, especially Aunt Amanda Laming (Big Momma) and Uncle Peter; nieces and nephews; his girlfriend, Whitney Morse and her parents, Dottie and Richie Morse, and her brother, Spencer; and many friends.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Clifford Hersom; and his friend, Josh “Little Joshie” Wardwell.
“Boy, I’m going to miss you so much and I’m so proud of you. Love, Dad.”
The family wishes to thank Emma Sabina for staying with him and being his angel.
