Deputies say they received several 911 calls around 10:30 a.m. saying a young child was wandering alone on Route 4.

Deputies arrested 32-year-old Courtney Abbott and 40-year-old Kerry Ross, both from Livermore.

Abbott was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, violation of conditions of release and obstructing government revocation.

Ross was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, trafficking in a scheduled drug, violations of conditions of release and obstructing government administration.

Deputies say a passer-by stopped and tended to the 3-year-old girl and an 18-month-old boy. Officials say the children were taken to the hospital. They were evaluated and released into the custody of Maine DHHS.

Both parents are being held in the Androscoggin County Jail. They will be arraigned on Monday.
