1930 – 2015
MINOT — Paul Onile Marchesseault, 85, of Minot, passed away on the evening of Saturday, Nov. 7, at his home.
He was born in Pittsburgh, N.H., a son of the late Onile and Raineda (LaBruere) Marchesseault. He grew up in the area and attended local schools there. On May 5, 1956, he married Patsy Dowse in Colebrook, N.H., and shortly after, the two moved to New York and started a family together.
While in New York, Paul operated his own farms and also worked at GM. After 11 years there, in 1967 the family moved to Maine from Messina, N.Y., and Paul owned and operated the largest poultry farm in the state until his retirement in 1991. After he retired he was a bus driver for about 10 years.
Paul will always be remembered for taking great pleasure in raising animals, including goats, chickens and rabbits. He also loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patsy Marchesseault of Minot; his four sons, Michael and his wife, Donna, of Durham, Neil and his wife, Denise, John and his wife, Amy, and Jim and his wife, Brenda, all of Minot. He also leaves behind his siblings, Estelle Bergeron, Lucille Couture, Orphise Grondin and Hildrege Marchesseault; and 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Paul Laperle; and two brothers, Loraigny and LaBruere Marchesseault.
