PORTLAND — Amy Schumer is apologizing to fans who feel short-changed by the brevity of a show in Portland, Maine.

The comedian said she did a 47-minute set that was rushed Saturday evening because of the need to accommodate a second show at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland. But some audience-goers said the set actually ran only 35 to 40 minutes, and they were frosted to learn that the second show ran for an hour.

Schumer told WCSH-TV that it was a “rookie mistake” and she apologized to fans.

Richard Machlin told the Portland Press Herald that he wouldn’t have paid $80 for a 35-minute show. He asked for a refund on Monday; arena management promised to get back to him.
