1936 – 2015
AUBURN — Theresa J. Evrard, 79, formerly of 31 Cote St., Lewiston, and a resident of Clover Manor in Auburn for the past year, died Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Auburn, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lewiston on April 13, 1936, she was the daughter of Maurice and Juliette Paradis Turcotte. She was educated in local schools and worked at the Bates Mill, Rockingham Electric and retired from Tambrands at the age of 61.
On Dec. 18, 1970, she married Walter Evrard, who passed away in 2007. Theresa was a member of Holy Cross Church, Prince of Peace Parish, and she enjoyed square dancing, hunting, fishing, beano and Saturday nights, playing scat with her brother, Dick and his wife, Anita. In the past year, she greatly enjoyed doing crafts with the other residents of Clover Manor. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her grandchildren, whom she adored.
Survivors include two sons, George Camire and longtime companion, Janice Chabot, of Homosassa, Fla., and Michael Camire and wife, Sally, of Prattville, Ala.; three daughters; Diane and husband, Joe Morissette, of Lewiston, Connie Tucci and fiancé, Christopher Holt, of Sabattus, and Tracey and husband, Roland Brousseau Jr., of Sabattus; a brother, Norm Turcotte and wife, Janet, of Wales; a sister, Murielle Beaudette of Sabattus; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild on the way.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by an infant daughter, Cathy Ann Camire; a sister, Joanne Smaha; and two brothers, Roger and Richard Turcotte.
