RANGELEY — Michaela Shorey fired four goals past Pine Tree Academy keeper Taylor Waterman on Tuesday to help the Lakers to a 6-0 Class D South quarterfinal win over the Breakers.

Natasha Haley and Amber Morrill also scored for Rangeley (9-3), which advances to host No. 3 Buckfield in the regional semifinal round. Maxie Gatcomb and Lauren Estlack registered assists in the victory, and Maddi Egan turned back two shots for the shutout.

Waterman stopped 14 in the loss for Pine Tree (3-9).

Cape Eliz. 1, Gray-NG 0

CAPE ELIZABETH — Sarah O’Connor beat Gray-New Gloucester keeper Jen Sutherland with a shot in the second half to lift the Cape Elizabeth Capers to a 1-0 win over the Patriots in a Class B South quarterfinal on Tuesday. The goal was unassisted.

Sutherland finished with 14 saves for Gray-New Gloucester (7-7-2). Tessa Goldstein needed only one save to preserve the shutout for the Capers (11-4).

Buckfield 2, Greenville 1

BUCKFIELD — Senior Olivia Dooley scored her first career goal to tie the game and freshman Julia Dow got her eighth of the year with an assist from Brianna Damon for the game-winner as Buckfield edged Greenville 2-1 in a Class D South quarterfinal. Hannah Shields was solid in net with a big saves in each half. Shields finished with three saves.

Bianca Breton scored the Lakers’ lone goal on an assist from Sherby Ward. Greenville keeper Charlotte Aucoin made 10 saves in the loss.
