1944 – 2015
MERIDIAN, Idaho — Bob went home to heaven at the age of 70 on Saturday, Oct 17.
Bob was born in Stoneham, Mass., on Nov. 26, 1944, the son of Esther and Garfield Guyette. He was in the U.S. Air Force from October 1966 to August 1969, and served one year in Vietnam.
Bob married Venise Dubois, his wife of 43 years, on Feb. 26, 1972, in Auburn. Bob drove school buses for the city of Auburn for several years and then for Auburn Baptist Church.
Bob accepted Jesus as his personal Savior in 1982 and was very involved with service ministries at Auburn Baptist Church in Maine for 17 years. He and his wife also had a weekly ministry at Marshwood Center nursing home for several years, in which they were blessed to be able to lead many elderly to know the saving grace of Jesus. Then they attended Riverside Baptist Church in Auburn, again being very active in serving the Lord for a couple of years before moving to Boise, Idaho, in November 2002 to be near their two children and their families. In Idaho, he was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Meridian.
He is survived by his wife, Venise; a daughter, Lori and her husband, Joseph Sunzeri, of Arizona; a son, Rob Guyette II and his wife, Demi, of Georgia; three grandchildren, Michael Guyette of Idaho, Christina Rogers of Georgia, and Tyler Guyette of Georgia; his brother, Garth and his wife, Pat Guyette, of Florida; his brother, Jaime and his wife, Marion Guyette, of Maine; his sister, Darlene and her husband, Gary Honea, of Maine; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Garfield Guyette; his mom, Esther Guyette; a brother, Verlon Guyette; and a brother, Lionel, who died as an infant.
