1928 – 2015
FARMINGTON — Ethlyn Marion Clifford, 87, of Canton Point Road, Dixfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness.
She was born on Feb. 26, 1928, in New Sharon, a daughter of the late William McKinley White Sr. and Marjory (Quimby) White. She was educated at Anson Academy in North Anson. She worked at the Bass Shoe Shop and was a successful Avon representative.
She was also a mother and a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crafts and crocheting. She spent her summers at camp on Emden Pond and winters in Florida.
She is survived by her partner of 51 years, Donald E. Clifford. Other survivors include her children, Robert Brundage of Oxford, and Brooksville, Fla., Alan Brisard of Madrid, Nadia Quimby of Turner, Dolores Danforth of Auburn, and Diane Bryant of Windham; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Calvin White, William White Jr. and Kenneth White; her sister, Charlotte Atwood; grandson, Matthew Danforth; and great-granddaughter, Atalie Danforth.
