LITCHFIELD — Theresa Dube, 85, formerly of Augusta, died Saturday, Oct. 10, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness.
She was born in Augusta on Sept. 7, 1930, a daughter of the late Alfred and Angelin (LeClair) Bonsant. Theresa attended Augusta schools and was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.
She had been employed for over 25 years at Town and Country Fashions in Augusta, where her career of striving to be the best-dressed woman began.
Theresa was predeceased by her husband, Laurier Dube, in 2001; four brothers, Gerard, Arthur, Clement and Richard Bonsant; and three sisters, Florida Fitzgerald, Rita Gaslin and Yvette Manwarring.
She is survived by her significant other and extraordinary dance partner, Roland Chesley of Litchfield; two sons, Jeffrey Dube and his wife, Patty, and Craig Dube and his wife, Carol, all of Augusta; three daughters, Roxanne Andrews of Pittston, Karen Dube and her boyfriend, David Harriman, of Readfield, and Tina Bilodeau and her husband, Pete, of Augusta; a brother, Raymond Bonsant of Augusta; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
