PORTLAND — Jody G. Moczara, 34, of Sabattus pleaded guilty Wednesday in U.S. District Court to receiving child pornography.

According to a Department of Justice news release, Moczara used the Internet and a file-sharing program to download several child pornography videos to his computer in June. Information obtained from his computer showed that he used the file-sharing program to search for child porn.

According to court records, police found many child pornography video files and still images on the computer.

Moczara faces between five and 20 years in prison, between five years and life on supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. He will be sentenced after a pre-sentence investigation report by the U.S. Probation Office.

According to the news release, the investigation was conducted by the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
