LIVERMORE FALLS — An architect will present plans for a new fire station, site evaluations and costs at a selectmen meeting Tuesday, Oct. 13.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Office.

In August, voters narrowly rejected approving up to $750,000 to build a fire station.

The town’s insurance company ordered firetrucks out of the station as of Oct. 1 because of structural deficiencies. Two engines are being housed at Jay’s No. 2 Fire Station, one engine is the Livermore Falls Public Works garage and the department’s utility pickup truck is parked outside the garage.

The ladder truck is still being housed in the station because the private garage where it will be stored is not yet ready.
