1936 – 2015
RUMFORD — Sally Daigle, 79, died Monday, Oct. 5, at the Rumford Community Home. She was a resident of Swain Road in Rumford.
Born in Rumford on July 8, 1936, she was a daughter of Fred and Loretta (Brown) Weston. She grew up in Mexico and attended Mexico schools. She was married in Rumford on May 24, 1980, to John Daigle, who died in Rumford on March 9, 2004.
She worked as a factory worker in shoe shops and Diamond Match, then as a food service worker at the Rumford Community Home; but her favorite jobs were as a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, putting together jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family.
Survivors include three sons, Larry White and companion, Mary Hagan, of Mexico, Leonard “Jay” White and his companion, Pam McDonald Giberson, of Mexico, and Keith Broomhall and his companion, Brenda Ruff, of Rumford; daughters, Donna Gilbert and her husband, Albert, of Gorham, N.H., Wanda “Dee Dee” Touchette and her husband, Ronald, of Rumford, and Robin Belanger and her husband, Glenn, of Rumford; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Laura Arsenault of Lisbon.
She is predeceased three sons, Scott, Kelly and Gary White; daughter, Terri Davis; brothers, Dwight Weston, Orton Weston, Lincoln Weston, James Weston and Chester Weston; sisters, Beatrice Patterson, Barbara Turner and Sandra LaFleur; and her parents.
