1927 – 2015
AUBURN — Mildred Ida Parent Auger, 87, of Lewiston died Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the Hospice House in Auburn after a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada, on Dec. 8, 1927, the daughter of Edmund and Emma Parent. On Dec. 29, 1951, she married Thomas O. Auger, and together they raised three children.
Mildred had many physical challenges throughout her life and faced them with strength and courage. Her faith was extremely important to her. She was a member of Holy Family Church and belonged to the prayer group.
Mildred is survived by a son, Thomas J. Auger and his fiancée, Lisa Martin, of Wales; two daughters, Carol Sweeney and her husband, Michael, of Falmouth, and Nancy Hunt and her husband, David, of Naples, Fla.; a sister, Evelyn Tomacelli and her husband, Michael, of Peabody, Mass.; three grandchildren, Thomas Auger, Andrew Sweeney and Timothy Sweeney; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Brooke Auger; one nephew; and four nieces.
