1939 – 2015
SKOWHEGAN — Leon W. “Junior” Elliott Jr., 75, of Skowhegan and formerly of Lewiston, passed away Thursday, Sept. 24, at his residence in Skowhegan.
He was born Nov. 12, 1939, in Hartland, the son of Leon Elliott Sr. and Doris (Cool) Elliott.
Leon was raised in Hartland and graduated from Hartland Academy.
He worked for MedWed Shoe Co., New Balance and Safe Approach as a foreman in shoe manufacturing.
He loved collecting antiques, gardening and all flowers. He enjoyed cooking, the small subs at BJ’s in Skowhegan and volunteering at Sacred Heart in Auburn.
He is survived by his siblings, Althea Harris, Scott Gifford and his wife, Lillian, Delma Goodridge, Blaine Elliott and his wife, Shawna, and Barrie Elliott and his wife, Cindy; his daughter, Holly; and stepdaughter, Jeannine Pinard and her husband, Gil; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; partner, Robert “Bob” Gagnon; his brother, Carroll Gifford; and sister, Shirley Bolduc.
