In 2012, when the city of Lewiston was unlawfully enforcing a local political sign ordinance, one man was willing to take on City Hall — Tim Lajoie. He took the time to research the law and stood up against the city government, forcing it to change policy.

He has an accomplished record of education and a quarter century of public service. As a U.S. Coast Guard veteran who has earned multiple master’s degrees, teaches social sciences at a private Maine college and serves in the local sheriff’s department, Lajoie embodies public service.

Now he is running for Lewiston City Council to represent Ward 2. I want a city councilor who not only has a distinguished record of public service but who is willing to stand up and fight City Hall on my behalf. That is Tim Lajoie. I hope others will join me in voting for him for Lewiston City Councilor, Ward 2.
