LEWISTON — Ward 1 City Councilor Leslie Dubois said she wants to continue giving back to the community she cares for and has made home for over 20 years.

Dubois is being challenged by Jim Lysen in the Nov. 3 election.

In a written statement, Dubois said she has demonstrated her ability to listen to constituents while applying common-sense decision-making to serve the best interests of Lewiston citizens. Her personal-interest group is the citizens of Ward 1, she said.

“Lewiston needs common-sense values,” and if voters want strong, effective leadership in Ward 1, then re-elect her, she said in the written statement. She said she cares, listens and “will be your voice.”

Dubois said she is a committed voice for property taxpayers and promises to continue working on improving recreational opportunities. She also favors improving the school system, keeping neighbors safe from crime and minimizing the tax burden created by social welfare.
